Parisian lady Molly will be in China at the end of the month, hitting Hong Kong on the 26th and Shanghai’s Lola Club on the 27th. But not before playing at her own Head On night at Rex Club with Tobi Neumann and DeWalta on the 13th of September and Tsugi’s 7th anniversary on the 19th of September at Trabendo in Paris, alongside Richie Hawtin, Matador and more. Go Molly!
Expectant, electric, sensual and ominous all at once: that’s what Dave Aju’s voice sounds like to Phillp Sherburne, who interviewed him for Wondering Sound. The magazine has published a super entertaining read of an interview with the San Fran native about his recent uprooting and re-evaluation of life, as well as the album that’s still making waves everywhere: Black Frames. The album’s had some pretty sweet reactions from the likes of Mixmag and the mighty RA. Attaboy, Marc.

And, while we’re at it, Dave Aju will be taking the Black Frames magic down south with a small South American tour starting this week in Guatemala and going on to Santiago de Chile on September 3rd followed by Loja, Guayaquil and Machala on the 4th, 5th and 6th. Afterwards, its off to Istanbul, where he’s set to play alongside Sety and dOP at Garajistambul on September 12th.
The temps may be dropping but we still know a kickass summer spot when we see one, and boy, is Watergate one of them. Lest you start feeling nostalgic about all the summer parties behind you, we’ve whipped up quite the lineup -hello, Guillaume, Mike Shannon, The Mole, Eddie C, Mr. Statik and Hreno- to keep the holiday vibe going for one more memorable night at our favorite aquatic haunt. Next weekend, SAT Aug 20th? You can catch us on the Spree. Just, uh, don’t forget to bring a sweater.
