Vincent Lemieux is back in the old continent, this time hitting up the delightful Katapult party on the Paris riverside on July 11th, Barcelona’s Piknic Electronic on the 13th and Proper’s Cult night in Amsterdam at Trouw as well.
As it couldn’t be any other way, the two snazziest guys we know have gotten together to create a pretty epic live act as Dewalta & Shannon and they’re bringing the cool all the way to the prestigious Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia to spice things up over there. Show will take place on SAT July 12th.
Eddie C‘s What It Is EP on Lumberjacks in Hell is number one on the disco / nu-disco Juno charts this week and number five in all genres. Our dear disco-master extraordinaire is also headlining a pretty awesome party at Chalet Club in the heart of Kreuzberg next week, alongside the talented DJ Sprinkles and Awesome Tapes from Africa. That’s July 12th, for all those in the vicinity. Check the event here.
Gal pal Molly’s also embarked on a busy month, with a gig at the All We Want Festival in Amsterdam just to start the month, a Cadenza Goes to the Tox party with Cesar Merveille in Ibiza on the 16th, at Cabaret Sauvage in Paris on the 18th (with Margaret Dygas, Fumiya Tanaka and Dyed Soundorom) and an open-air event in Turin called Outcast on July 20th.
As for Wareika, they’ve got a couple of interesting dates lined up too… having just played this past weekend at the Katermukke Open Air party in London town they will be heading out for what looks like an epic happening in Hungary on THU July 11th, the reknowned Balaton Sound Festival alongside Ricardo Villalobos and many more.
Meanwhile, Dave Aju’s plans for world domination thanks to his Black Frames album have been coming along quite nicely, with raving interviews on DJ Broadcast or Magazine Sixty, and reviews from the likes of DMC World Magazine, Groove, Black Plastic and Studiestrasse. The album is, as well, nothing less than selected in the 10 essential releases of the month by Big Shot Magazine. He’s also been featured not once, but twice in Groove’s music chart for July and August. Doing well is an understatement.
