Matthew Burton and Kate Rathod: Techno’s answer to Kanye and Kim….
From making the move together –gear and all- from the depths of northern England to a cosy abode that now represents their home and studio in Berlin town, they settled in quite nicely around these parts, making (a lot of) music, and even managing to get some of it it out on more well known outlets such as VISIONQUESTalongside their own hot-as-it-gets-without-anyone-knowing-much-about-it-so-far imprint, SHIFTED FLOW, to taking their laptop-free sultry LIVE SHOW on the road to the likes of FABRIC’s infamous dancefloor, it seems these two have definitely got it going on!
And, lest 2014 not follow suit with that track record, the duo have already begun making the rounds presenting PIPES, their latest oh-so-mellow release on Shifted Flow and gearing up for a fresh drop onFear of Flying. It would seem like a plate-full, but it takes two, right?
You can check out the full feature here.
Not one to stay put for long, DeWalta will be heading to Casablanca, Morocco for a couple of dates end of this month, which is part of a project with COSMO Records – culminating in a remix for Dandy Jack for the label.
Cynosure’s back with a vengeance, something we saw a while ago with Reset, Bleep. Now Mike’s label is pulling another punch by way of collaboration with Guillermo Miranda, and may we say Guille’s release is not one to be taken lightly.
Amam’s releasing the latest collaborative mischief made by the duo known as Steampunk’d, AKA Mr. Statik and Lee Burton. The four-tracker goes from funk to house in a shimmy, while Ion Ludwig takes it away with a minimalist touch. Bonus track for digital downloaders.
And as Mo’s Ferry‘s new favorite, Mr. Statik will be featured on the label’s next various artists release, with Roll Down the Shutters.
This month sees the release of the second installation of Vakant’s Adamant Remixes II, on which our boy DeWalta puts some of his “modular madness” to work. You can grab a hold of that from 17th March.
But remixes aren’t the only thing the boy is dropping this month, with his and Voigtmann’s Semi-Flying Objects EP coming out on March 24th on Hello?Repeat.
